Polices and Procedures:
Notice:
Some states
necessitate certain Board Of Medicine or Radiation Board requirements to operate
a laser for hair removal and/or a certain amount of hours of training in either
laser hair
removal or
electrolysis.
Inquire what your state, local and medical
requirements are before submitting your application for training.
In the state of COLORADO the
Colorado Board of Medical Examiners requires a laser operator to be under the
personal and responsible supervision of a Colorado licensed physician.
Tuition
40-hour (college credit hours) Certified Laser Specialist Certification: $3,500.00
(1/1/2007)
Laser classes will be taught twice a
month. The charge for the 5 day class will be $3500. Pre-requisite
vocational backgrounds (i.e.: physician, nursing, aesthetician, electrologist,
etc) are recommended but not required.
Due to strict attendance policies in place to protect the interests of other students and
Rocky Mountain Laser College, a minimum $500.00 deposit is necessary per attending student to reserve his or her placement in the desired, scheduled class roster. The deposit amount will be applied to the total
course tuition. The remaining tuition, however, is due and payable prior to actual attendance in the course. Be sure to read our
refund policy below.
Tuition Payment Options
Rocky Mountain Laser College realizes that not every prospective student is able to fully pay his or her tuition prior to actual attendance either due to time or financial constraints. Therefore, an optional payment schedule has been approved by Lorenzo Kunze,
M.E., in which the student may attend his or her desired, scheduled class, provided that an class opening exists.
The required $500.00 deposit is included in the tuition cost figure. The remaining tuition
($3,000) will be due and payable within
10 days of graduation and prior to issuance of the associated graduation
certificate.
Policies
All payments are due upon enrollment, unless subject to amendments, or financial arrangements, items, fees and tuition subject to cost change. The principal must approve any changes.
The student agrees, if accepted, he or she will enter training for and make reasonable effort to complete the course in compliance with the rules and regulations of the college and abide by the same. Should the student terminate enrollment, the school's policy for determining the effective date of termination is as follows: The date on which the college receives notice of the student's intention to discontinue the training program, or the date on which the student violates published college policy which provides termination. Cancellation after 3 days will result in a $50 charge.
Refund Policy
Rocky Mountain Laser College refund, if any, will be made within 30 days of the date of the cancellation. Payments for personal books and equipment are non-refundable. If a student wishes to terminate the
Rocky Mountain Laser College Enrollment Agreement, he or she is requested to inform
Rocky Mountain Laser College in writing of termination. Notice of cancellation must be signed and mailed to:
Rocky Mountain Laser College
651 Garrison Street, 260
Lakewood, CO 80215
Faxed cancellation letters must be followed up with a telephone call to a school representative who can confirm receipt of letter and processing of refund, if any.
-
A full refund is given if the school does not accept the applicant.
-
A full refund of tuition and fees is given
if the applicant withdraws within three days of signing the student application
form or making an initial payment, provided that the applicant has not commenced
training. After the 3 days there is a $250 cancellation fee.
-
A full refund of tuition and fees is given in the event that the school discontinues a course or program of education during a period of time within which a student could have reasonably completed the same. This provision shall not apply in the event that the school ceases operation.
-
Rocky Mountain Laser College
uses a method of determining the official termination dates of the student which complies with the state board's established criteria including:
-
(a) The date on which the school receives notice of the student's intention to discontinue the training program; or
-
(b) The date upon which the student violates published school policy, which provides for termination.
-
(c) The last date of recorded
attendance.
-
Except for retention of a cancellation charge not to exceed one hundred fifty dollars or twenty-five percent of the contract price, whichever is less, the policy for cancellation, settlement, and refund of tuition and fees provides for at least the following:
-
(a) For a student terminating his or her training within the first ten percent of his or her program, the student shall be entitled to a refund of ninety percent of the contract price of the program exclusive of books, tools and supplies.
-
(b) For a student terminating his or her training after ten percent but within the first twenty-five percent of his or her program, the student shall be entitled to a refund of seventy-five percent of the contract price of the program exclusive of books, tools and supplies.
-
(c) For a student terminating his or her training after twenty-five percent but within the first fifty percent of his or her program, the student shall be entitled to a refund of fifty percent of the contract price of the program exclusive of books, tools and supplies.
-
(d) For a student terminating his or her training after fifty percent but within the first seventy-five percent of his or her program, the student shall be entitled to a refund of twenty-five percent of the contract price of the program exclusive of books, tools and supplies.
-
(e) A student who has completed seventy-five percent of his or her program and has entered the final twenty-five percent shall not be entitled to any refund and shall be obligated for the full price of the program, which constitutes the maximum obligation.
The college may suspend any student for immoral or improper conduct. The college reserves the right to
be the sole judge of such conduct which may be detrimental to the college and the students, employees and guests. Monies retained by the college will be in accordance with the refund policies as stated above.
Upon satisfactory completion of the course of training by the student, and upon fulfillment of the terms of this agreement, the college will issue a diploma/certificate of completion specific to the
course of study for which the student enrolled and graduated.
In accordance with the rules and regulations of the college, graduates may be given the opportunity for placement assistance or receive benefits of any and all placement services maintained by the college, at the discretion of the college.
