Polices and Procedures:

Notice: Some states necessitate certain boards such as the Board Of Medicine, Radiation Board, Cosmetology and/or Electrology Boards for recommendations or requirements to operate a laser for hair removal and/or Laser's / IPL's in general.

Inquire what your state, local and medical requirements are before submitting your application for training.

In the state of ARIZONA the Arizona Radiation Regulatory Agency requires a laser operator to be under the personal and responsible supervision of an Arizona licensed physician. The physician does not need to be on-site, however recommends that the M.D. be at least 30-minutes away and proper didactic training be documented.

Training Notice to Cosmetic/Hair Removal Non Practitioners (Updated 3-14-05)

Operators will be required to meet the didactic training requirements by attending an approved course.

In both cases supervision must be provided by a licensed practitioner. If the operator is unable to provide documentation to demonstrate the required didactic training they shall attend an approved course  meeting the rule standards.

Additionally, all operators must be able to provide documentation by the licensed practitioner, that the operator has met the direct supervision and observation requirements, is competent and adequately trained to safely perform treatments as ordered by the licensed practitioner.
